When I was younger, I worried constantly about what other people thought of me. I grew out of it. Now, I try to teach my girls the following:
The next time you are self conscious, take a look around. Is anyone paying attention? More times than not, they are worried about themselves, and what people are thinking of them.
Keep that in mind the next time you have that weird feeling worrying about what others think.

Today marks the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. It is a time to reflect and remember the 2996 souls we lost on September 11, 2001, thousands of veterans who have died Afghanistan and Iraq and the first responders who were exposed to toxins at ground zero.
